Find my car is my second android application that's has been published on the play store. After watching the Hollywood blockbuster Gravity in a big city mall, I and a friend of mine weren't able to locate the place where our car was parked. This sparked the idea to create an application which would help in finding your car.

The concept of Find my car is fairly simple and easy to understand. This makes using the app easier on the user-end as well. Find my car uses Google map API's for storing the car's location and also tracing and locating it.

How does it work?
  • When you park your car, open the app and click the PARK button.

  • This stores your car's position in the app. (Cache Memory)

  • When you forget you car's position, you can simply click the FIND MY CAR button to locate your car. (Opens Google Maps and navigates you from your current location to the car's parked location)

Thus, the entire process of finding the car is manual. The application is still in BETA and I feel it requires some UI refinements, refreshed design, and tweaks. On a slow internet connection, the app sometimes shows GPS coordinates instead of the location name. Such minor bugs are there.
